There are two main issues in Nigeria that we would like to focus on. They are a lack of food, and a lack of education, specifically for females. Our idea focuses on these two issues and creates a solution to help combat both problems. We would like to implement a system where families are given one plot of land in a community garden for every male child they send to school, and two plots of land for every female child they send to school. The families will then receive tools and training from young professionals, such as farmers, nutritionists, and other agricultural specialists, so that they are able to grow food to sustain their families. This way, families will be motivated to send their children to school, specifically females, so that the children are receiving an education, and they will also be combatting the issue of hunger.
