believe in the bottom-up approach. In improving sustainability of our lives, REFOOD can be effective and economically viable.

Although the claim of 'less money to waste', our society is still producing increasing amount of food waste. This is a social problem whose solution goes beyond its disposal: food waste and hunger represent two sides of the same global injustice. REFOOD is a systemic project made by a brand and a service. It approaches food waste at micro-level, involving consumers behaviour and social perception of food. It is also a marketing and social communication venture: a web site and an App for smartphone will support the networking and the education of the participants. REFOOD consists in buying unsold food products from small businesses (such as cafès and bakeries) and in selling them as street food. Purchasing these leftovers is a way of returning dignity and economical value to unsold food and of influencing social behaviours. REFOOD is not only an innovative system for recycling food: it aims to become a trendy and responsible practice.
