The Cultural Centre St. Benedict (CCSB) of the Monastery of Siloe - already constituting a part of the network of centers for environmental ethics – would like to contribute to the growth of a new ecological humanism, which unites the protection of the environment with that of human relations; to promote and spread a culture of sustainability in an ethical vision of the relationship between man and nature; to promote, together with many other organizations involved, responsible lifestyle and a new mode of human presence on the planet.

The CCSB supports themes and projects proposed by the Protocol of Milan and wants to support the declared values in the awareness that environmental issues today are also inevitably ethical issues. We believe that the discussion of the issues referred to in the Protocol can make a valuable contribution in the international debate about crucial issues for humanity.
