As an active enthusiast in social activities, I have been engaged in various clubs (both at college and work level) involved in bringing about improvement in society...

Obesity is a major issue today not just in developed countries but also in a developing nation like India. The major reason for the same is the inclusion of junk food in the diet of the children and the sedentary lifestyle that they follow. 50-60% of these obese children then grwon on to become obese adults. Fighting obesity at the root level by emphasizing health education at early childhood can help in solving the issue to a great extent. Food champs target the young children right from the beginning imbibing the importance of food and nutrition and physical activity in day to day life. Futher, there is a mobile app in place to target the children of 12-19 year of age who believe in the internet more than their parents. Providing solutions that are in sync with the changing dynamics of the children behaviour to create maximum positive impact is the key to the solution.
