Food is life and can't be a problem in the Third Millennium. The MCA taught me that everyone of us can improve our world. The BCFN call opens the way to do that

The main goal of our project is to inspire a new consciousness towards the food issue, in particular in the youngest generations. Furthermore, our project will provide a reliable measurement of the phenomenon of food waste among Italian households. The idea is to make people aware of the amount of edible food they throw away every day. To this purpose we will develop a game-diary, designed both for younger and older people, where they will register their everyday food waste. By means of regular feedback and advice, the users will gain awareness and their knowledge about the complexity of the issues related to food waste will gradually improve. An important actor in this educational project is represented by the schools, as a first interlocutor to sensitize the future generations. By analyzing the aggregated data recorded by the users, we will be able to measure the size of households' food waste overall impact. In this way, authorities will have a snapshot of the magnitude of the problem, in order to plan subsequent policies for a more environment-friendly society.
