Corrado Clini is Director General of the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Territory. Well-known expert on environmental issues, he has served as coordinator and Chairman of several Commissions and Offices of the European Union. In particular, since 1998 he has been coordinating the interdepartmental working group of the Italian Government for the implementation of the Kyoto Protocol and in 2000 he was President of the Task Force on renewable energy established by Heads of States and Governments during the G8 Summit in Okinawa.
