José María Aznar is the President of FAES (Foundation for Social Studies and Analysis), a think tank that promotes reflection and debate around all the issues that affect Spanish and international political scenario. He became Prime Minister of Spain in 1996, following the electoral victory of the Partido Popular. With the party’s subsequent electoral victory in the year 2000, this time with an absolute majority, he led the country again for a new term.
