Barilla Center for Food & Nutrition (BCFN) is a think tank founded in 2009 with the goal of analyzing major global issues connected with food and nutrition.

It has chosen to approach these issues from a multi-disciplinary perspective. As a result, economic, scientific, social and environmental factors are analyzed in terms of their cause-and-effect relationship on food. In these years, we have examined a broad variety of themes, that, in our opinion, can be put off no longer.

Each of these themes has been the subject of scientific publications, detailed and concrete recommendations, presentations to governmental bodies and open debate with the public at large.

An international commitment is an integral part of the nature of the BCFN, and among the challenges of its mission is that of taking on issues which are urgent for populations around the world and our Planet as a whole.
