Mr Herren, which are the challenges to face for a sustainable agriculture now and in the future? What are the current problems? 

The major agricultural problems concern several aspects: the adaptation to climate change; the production of sufficient amounts of varied food at affordable prices and quality food and fodder production; farm sustainability and farmers’ profit; the increasing competition from biofuel; the increase in fossil fuel prices and the growing scarcity of fossil fuels.
