BCFN Talks: Webinar Water Economy
April 20th 2011
The conference wants to shed light on the global problem regarding the limited access to the “blue liquid gold”. The conference will be held on April 20th 2011 and it will be broadcast live on the web at the BCFN site (www.barillacfn.com). ‘Quality’ water, fresh and unpolluted water, represents only 0.003% of the total water available in the world. Some days ago, the General Secretary of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, recalled that every 20 seconds a child dies in the world from an illness caused from the lack of clean drinking water and this means “we lose 1.5 million young lives every year”.
We all have to do our share to guarantee access to water. Both nationally and internationally, new legislation is needed to prevent the interests of a few prevailing over the guarantee of access to water for all. Read more on BCFN talks http://www.barillacfn.com/en/water-economy
