“Beyond the Crisis: toward a new world order of energy”. This is theme of the meeting that will be held in Rome on May 24 and 25 at the initiative of the Italian Ministry for Economic Development. 23 ministers of G8 countries and the major world economies will participate, in representation of over 80% of the global energy supply and demand.

The topics discussed will include the promotion of investments in energy for security and sustainable development, the energy strategies in response to global warming, the plan of action against energy poverty with particular attention to the African continent. The goal is to achieve concrete results in synergism with other programs and initiatives undertaken within the G8.
