Guido Barilla will be an active participant in the Sustainability International Forum (SIF), held on Monday, June 15, as spokesperson for the mission and actions of the Barilla Center for Food & Nutrition. The event will take place in Rome at Palazzo Colonna, and represents an important occasion for discussions among industry, institutions, associations and non-governmental organizations. Major industrial groups will be called upon to talk about their actions to address the challenges of sustainability.

The program [http://www.sifconference.com/programme.php] includes an opening session with institutional addresses followed by the keynote speech by Jeremy Rifkin, President of the Foundation on Economic Trends.
This will be followed by the Thematic Panel on “Energy, Food, and Health” with the participation of Guido Barilla. Other contributors to the discussions include Fernando Aguirre (Chairman and CEO of Chiquita Brands International), Mercedes Bresso (President of the Region of Piedmont), Luca Dal Fabbro (Managing Director of E.ON Energy SpA), Carlos Haertel (Managing Director of GE R&D Center), Luigi Paganetto (President of ENEA) and Giammarco Surico  (Director of the Pediatric Oncology-Hematology Department at the Vito Fazzi Hospital in Lecce).
