CARLO CARRARO

Carlo Carraro is President of the University of Venice. He is Vice President of the Working Group III of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The organization has been established by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to provide the world with a clear scientific view on the current state of climate change and its consequences. IPCC is chaired by Rajendra K. Pachauri, who received the Nobel Prize for Peace on behalf of IPCC, together with Al Gore. Carlo Carraro is also Director of the Sustainable Development Programme of the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei.
