The Advisory Board is a body that stands as a guarantor of the work of the Barilla Center for Food & Nutrition, identifying themes of interest, developing distinctive and scientifically valid contents and making proposals and recommendations.
It is supervised by a Scientific Committee that includes six experts with different but synergetic professional backgrounds and competencies in economics, medicine, nutrition, sociology and the environment.
The Advisory Board ensures that the most advanced knowledge and foremost professional capacities are brought to bear on the specific themes addressed by the Barilla Center for Food & Nutrition in order to enhance and refine the quality of its work.
The Advisory Board operates on the principles of:
- Independence: it is autonomous in its thinking and analyses;
- Sharing: it is an engine behind a process of encounter and discussion that is extended as broadly as possible to anyone who has ideas and proposals to offer, whether it be a government, public or private institution, regardless of nationality, ideological choice or political preferences;
- Excellence: it is a meeting place for the top internationally recognized people in social, medical-scientific, environmental and economic fields.

Operational management of the Barilla Center for Food & Nutrition is in the hands of Valerio De Molli (Managing Partner - The European House - Ambrosetti) and the European House - Ambrosetti Work Group.
